Survey on the KAP of STD/AIDS in coal miners in Mentougou district

Objective To study the conditions of knowledge,attitude,practice(KAP)of STD/AIDS among coal miners and provide basic data and instruction for developing health education.Methods Investigate the coal miners in Muchengiian colliery.To know the miners'KAP massage about STD/AIDS by questionnaire investigation.Results The total subjects was 389.The total awaring rate about STD/AIDS was 71.49%.which were closely correlative to education degree and whether coming from inside of the city or outside.The percentage of having correct attitude to AIDS patients accounted for 90.2% and having the sexual behavior out of marriage was 5.8%.The using rate of condom was 33.51%.Conclusion The coal miners have relatively high cognizion level about STD/AIDS,but their precaution awareness are deficiency,SO it was imporrant to carry out propaganda education on STD/AIDS prevention.
