Abstract
Objective To learn the status of discrimination about AIDS and its influencing factor among the rural workers.Methods With self-designed questionnaire,147 rural workers were investigated.Results the general knowing rate was 78.7%,the knowing rate of transmission routes of AIDS was 91.2%,the non-transmission routes was 73.3%.The discrimination to AIDS patients and HIV positive person is common among rural workers.Multiple linear regression showed that there was negative correlation between the discrimination and the knowing rate of non-transmission route of AIDS.Conclusion Lacking the knowledge of non-transmission routes is resulted in fear and discrimination to AIDS patients and HIV positive person among the rural workers.
