A survey on status and demand of professional tnaining among presidents of township hospital

Objective To analysis the conditions of on-job training and demand in presidents of township hospitals in Guangxi province,providing reference for contents and plans for training.Methods Questionnaire survey were taken to 119 presidents in 54 township hospitals with the multi-stages entire group random sampling method.Results 76.47% of presidents has been trained in two years,23.53% of them has never received training.In 2005 median accumulation time of training(8150 days)was more than that(4100 days)in 2006.The difference was significant(P<0.05).Training on hospital management was needed most and there as no difference between the presidents who had different time in leadership position (P<0.05).The presidents have different demand to professional knowledge in different function hospital(P<0.05).Conclusion The township hospital presidents need on-job training especially on hospital management knowledge.Operation knowledge abouthospital should be given to the presidents who work less than or equal to 4 years in leadership position.
