Investigation on drinking prevalence and influencing factors in adults of Henan province

Objective To knowdrinking prevalence and it's influencing factors among residents over 18 years old in Henan prov ince.Methods Using the method of multistage stratified sampling,3 000 subjects were investigated with the questionnaire of "health and health system responsiveness" designed by WHO.Results The drinking pr ev alence was 8.2% in male,33.1% in female and 58.2% in total.Logistic regression analysis showed the drinking frequency was different in residents with different age,gender,economic income,and education level.81.4% of drinker still went on drinking although they had realized alcohol was harmful to their health.Conclusion It is the key point of lowering the drinking prevalence to enhance behavioral interv ention and health education in the population of middle-old age,male,higher education level,higher income.
