Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between ferrum and zinc status and toxic effects of cadmium in pregnant women. Methods BCd,SFe,SZn,Hb,SF,U Cd,UMt,Uβ2-MG and UNAG in the blood, serum or urine were measured in 98 pregnant women and 73 non-pregnant women.Correlation analysis was carried out. Results The contents of SZn,Hb and SF were lower, but the contents of UCd,BCd,UMt,Uβ2-MG,UNAG,percentage of anemia and low SZn in the pregnant women were higher than that in non-pregnant women. The contents of BCd,UCd,UMt,Uβ2-MG and UNAG were higher in anemia group than that in non-anemia group. With the increase of SZn content,UNAG and Uβ2-MG decreased and toxic effect of Cd increased with the increase of UCd content.Hb was negatively correlated with UCd,BCd,Uβ2-MG and UMt.SF was negatively correlated with UCd.Meanwhile,SZn was negatively correlated with UNAG,UMt and Uβ2-MG.Conclusion Ferrum deficiency can promote the absorption of cadmium, and zinc can antagonize the injury caused by cadmium in kidney.
