Relationship between alcobol drinking and onset of coronary heart disease among Mongolian and Han people

Abstract
Objective To investigate the risk factors of Mongolian patients with coronary hcart disease(CHD).Methods Cross sectional study was used to analyze the clinical data and laboratory data of 442 Mongolian patients and 1625 Han patients.Results The mean age of Mongolian patients(60.97±11.24 years)was less than that of Han patients(63.85! 11.69 years)(P=0.000).The proportion of heart disease history in Mongolian patients(aged<60 years)(23.7%)was lower than in Han patients(31.7%)(P=0.036).Alcohol drinking rate in Mongolian patients(aged 60~70 years)(22.8%) was higer than in Han patients(14.3%)(P=0.024)and the proportion of long time alcohol drinking was higher in Mongolian patients.The proportion of diabetes history in Mongollian patients(aged>70 years)(1.0%)was lower than in Han patients(10.3%)(P=0.003).The diastolic blood pressure level of Mongolian patients(aged<60 years)was lower than that of Han patients(P<0.05).The glucose level of Mongolian patients(aged?60 years)was lower than that of Han patients(P< 0.05).The total cholesterol level of Mongolian patients(aged 60~70 years)was lower than that of Han patients(P<0.05).The triglyeride level of all Mongolian patients was lower than that of Han patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with Han patients,Mongolian patients were younger.Longtime alcohol drinking played an important role in Mongolian CHD patients.
