Abstract
ObjectiveTo know the mental health status and its influence factors in the peasant workers of Weihai city.MethodsThe sample was randomly chosen by using cluster-based sampling method and was interviewed by using both self-made questionnaire and Kessler 10 K10 rating scale.SPSS 1310 software was used to analyze the data.Results2457 individuals were interviewed and the total score of K10 was(12.80±5.25)and about 19.0% of subjects was likely to have a mild or medium or high mental disorder.The risk factors of high K10 scoring of the peasant workers were older age group, being ill within 2 weeks,introvert,no bosom friend,negative feeling and pressure of life,insomnia and the bad status of self-rated health.ConclusionThe main influence factors of the mental health of peasant workers are physical condition,self-evaluating mental condition,self-reported health staus and sleeping condition.About 20% of peasant workers is in poor mental status.
