Retrospective analysis on ALT activities of patients hospitalized in 2007

Objective To analyze the distribution of the activity of ALT in differentorg ans and in patients with different diseases.Methods To collect all ALT test results of the patients(8567 males,5641 females with ages from 0.2 to 90 years old)in the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University in 2007 and discuss the distribution status of ALT in different organs.Results Obviously rising of ALT could be found in the diseases of liver and gut,which accounted for 15.4% of the results.However,most results centr alized in the region of 40-100 U/L,accounting for about 50% of the patients with differ ent disease.Conclusion It is weathly to take further research on the reasons of more than a half of the ALT abnormality in hospitalized patients without liver or gut disease.
