Isolation, identification and purification of allergens in cashew nut

  • Objective To isolate,identify and purify the allergens in cashewnut,anacard lun occidentale L.Methods The total protein of the cashew nutwas iso lated by SDS-PAGE.The allergens of cashew nutwere identified by Westernblotting.To purify the allergens,ion exchange chromatography was employed.Results There were tenprotein bands visible on the SDS-PAGE gel.The allergens with molecular mass of 21kD and 11kD were identified by Western-blotting.The 21kD and 11kD allergens of cashew nutwere purified by ion exchange chromatography.Conclusion The allergens of cashewnut were isolated and identified.And the allergens of cashewnut were purified prmiarily.
