Survey on treatment and administration for pulmonary tuberculosis patients

ObjectiveTo investigate the status,relative factors of treatment and administration of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Zunyi city,and to find suitable way to perform DOTS.MethodsQuantitative and qualitative survey were carried out among tuberculosis patients.ResultsThe incidence of pulmonary tube rculosis was increased from 149.93/100 000 in 2002 to 223.64/100 000 in 2007.The ratios in the patients receiving the treatment service in the tuberculosis control institutions were 76.6% and 72.7% for rural and urban patients,respectively.While 31.7% of rural patients and 29.1% of urban patients were out of the treatment administration.ConclusionIt is imperative to improve the treatment administration for pulmonary tuberculosis patients.
