Study on relationship between diet, nutrition and learning disorder in children

  • ObjectiveTo study the situation of children's learning disorders and to explore the relationship between diet, nutrition and learning disorder Methods For 814 students, Conners Parent Symptom Questionnaire was used to investigate learning disorders and 368 children selected from the 814 children were surveyed with dietary questionnaire Results The attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)abnounal rate of the 814 children were 4.1%.There was no difference in teens of gender and grades (P>0.05).The amount of daily intake of fat, vitam in E, selenium (65.79±3.92g, 18.22± 11.70mg, 39.94±21.04μg) in ADHD abnounal children was lower than that of nounal children with a significant differ ence (P<0.05).Therewere significant negative correlations between learning disorders and the intake of dietary fiber, selenium,onions, apples and other nutrients or foods(standardized partial regression coefficient=-0.400,-0.321,0.114,-0.144; P<0.05).Therewere significant positive correlations between learning disorders and the intake of inflated food, carbonated beverages, Mn and other foods or nutrients(standardized partial regression coefficient=0.153, 0.150, 0.252; P<0.05).ConclusionDiet and nutrition may in pact learning behavior.
