Abstract
Objective To understand AIDS related cognition and attitude amongre sidents of Cangzhou city.Methods Overall 3491 residents were randomly selected and surveyed.Information on AIDS related cognition and attitude was collected with a questionnaire.Results The awareness rate of "Fouritems free of charge and one care" was 51.2%-60.2%.About 16.5% of the subjects knew that AIDS patients are allowed to get married.A bout 37.5% of persons knew that AIDS patients activities should not be restricted and 35% thought that AIDS patients could work together with them.23.3% of the subjects permitted their children studying together with AIDS patients children.Conclusion The residents had lowa wareness on AIDS related cognition and tended to discr iminate against AIDS patients.
