Abstract
Objective A case-control study was employed to explore the risk factors of hepatitis E.Methods Overall 112 cases of hepatitis E and their spouse or workm a tes as control were studied.Information on disease history and other health behaviors were collected and analyzed with univariate analysis,multivariate logistic regression to explore the risk factors of hepatitis E.Results Single factor logistic regression showed that eating outside,unclean food,unhealthy behavior,smoking,speical hobby,history of chronic hepatitis B or HBs Ag positive were associated w th hepatitis E.Multiple factors logistic regression showed that the risk factors of hepatitis E were eating outside(OR=2.42,95%CI=1.27-4.59),unhealthy behavior(OR=2.18,95%CI1.19-3.99),and history of chronic hepatitis B or HBsAg positive(OR=5154,95%CI=2.24-13.70).Conclusion Eating outside and unhealthy behavior are risk factors of hepatitis E.The people with the history of chronic hepatitis B or HBs Ag positive are at high risk of hep a titis E and should be protected.
