Influence of nanomaterials of titanium dioxide on rabbit haemo-compatibility

  • Objective To study the effect of nanometer titanium dioxide on coagulation system,plasma albumin,blood cells and hematological compatibility in rabbits.Methods Twenty-four white Japane serabbits werrandomly divided into 4 groups and the blood samples were taken at the tmie of 0,1,2,4,8,24 and 48 hours after vein injection of nanometer titanium diozide.Prothrombin time(PT),active partial thrombolastin tmie(APTT),plasma fibrinogen(FIB),plasm a platelet factor 4(PF4),red blood cell(RBC),white blood cell(WBC),and platelet were tested.And at 0 and 48 hours after injection,blood smears with HE stain were observed.Results No significant differ ince was observed between different groups (P>0.05)and in the same group at different tmie(P>0.05).The morphology of RBC,W C and PLT in blood smear of each group showed no difference under microscope(X400).Conclusion Nanometer titanium dioxide has no effect on coagulation system,morphology and number of blood cells in rabbits.
