Perceived-health of tuberculosis patients in Shandogn province and its influencing factors

  • ObjectiveTo understand the perceived-health andits influencing factors among tubercu losis(TB)patients in Shandong province.MethodsThe pulmonary tube rculosis patients randomly chosen with stratified-cluster sampling included 819 residents from six districts and 314 from floating population in twelve districts of Shandong province.All ptients were interviewed with a self-made questionnaire.The data was analyzed with SPSS16.0.ResultsThe perceived-health of TB patients with permanent residence was better than that of TB patients from floating population and 51.4% of patients from floating population perceived their health status as good.The main influencing factors of perceived health included patients' economic condition,debt situation and treatment classification(P<0.05).Debt situation(OR=17.471,P<0.05) and treatment classification(OR=26.012,P<0.05)were important influencing factors of perceived health for the patients in floating population.Less educated(OR<1,P<0.05)was one of risk factors of perceived-health for patients in floating population.The perceived-health ststus of young patients was better than that of old patients with permanent residence (OR<1).ConclusionThe socio-economic status is one of important influencing factors of perceived-health of TB patients and the patients with debt have low level of perceived-health.
