Development and validation of quality of life instrument for peptic ulcer patient

ObjectiveTo develop and validate the quality of life in strument for peptic ulcer(QLICD-PU)patient.MethodsA total of 120 cases of pepticulcer inpatient were measured with QLICD-PU before and after treatment.The validity,reliability and responsiveness of the in strument were evaluated.ResultsAlmost all of the corre lation coeffecients between eachitem and its facet or domain were higher than the item with other facets or other domains,and most of those correlation coefficients were above 0.6.The clinical changes of the each domain due to the treatem t could be detected by the scale,especially in the specific domain(standardized response meanSRM=1.21)and the total instruments (SRM=1.10).ConclusionThe QLICD-PU is valid,senstive and reasonable for operation in clinical setting.
