Influencing factors of active vaccination of hepatitis B vaccine in adults

ObjectiveTo study in fluencing factors of the vaccination of the hepatitis Bvaccine in adults.MethodsIn Minhang district, Shanghai, 613 adults residents aged 18-50 years were randomly selected and their status of hepatitis B vaccine vaccination and its influencing factors were investiga ted.Non-conditional logistic regression was adopted in data analysis.ResultsThere were 153 people vaccinated with hepatitis Bvaccine among the 613 people,among which 27 were sponso red by their parents,59 by the school, and 67 by them selves.The influencing factor of the active vaccination were age,household monthly income percapita,having hepatitis B patients around,understanding that sexual intercourse without condomuse could spread hepatitis B,considering that there is no special drug for hepatitisBand there is a high infection rate of hepatitis B virus among residents of our country.Multi-factor analysis showed that high household monthly income percapita,considering that hepatitis B could be transmitted by eating together or using same office equipment with hepatitis B patient and there is no specific drug for hepatitis were positively correlated with active vaccination.Education level, understanding of hepatitis B being important cause of liver cancer,knowledge of hepatitis B prevalence were major influencial factors for taking hepatitis B virus vaccination actively.ConclusionLacking of knowledge about hepatitis B,cost, inconvenience of the vaccination are the main influencing factors of active vaccination of hepatitis B vaccine in adults of Minhang district.
