Effect of soybean isoflavone on expression of LXRα in ovariectomized rat model of high-fat

  • ObjectiveTo study the effect of soybeaniso flavone on the expressioon of live Xreceptor a(LXRA)in anovariec tomizedrat model of high-fat.MethodsForty-eight female ovariectomized SD rats were divided randomly into 6 groups:basic control, model, estrogen control, and low,medium,high dose of soybean isoflavone.At the end of trial, the rats were sacrificed and these rum was collected for lipid level detection.The expressions of LXRA in liver and intestine were assessed.ResultsAll doses of soy isoflavone could decrease the level of triglyce ride,total chole sterol, and low density lipo-prote in-C(P<0.05),and only high dose isoflavone could increase the level of high density lipoprote in-C(P<0.05).The expression of LXRA varied in different groups.ConclusionSupplem entation of soybeaniso flavone could protect the rats fed with high-fat diet from damage.Soybeaniso flavone also has effect on the expression of LXRA in liver.
