Abstract
Objective To study the status and the influential factors of self-reported reproductive tract infections(RTI) among rural married women and to provide basis for RTI prevention and control.Methods Married women aged 18-55 years were selected by convenient cluster sampling and a stmctured questionnaire was used for the survey by trained inter viewers at respondents households.Results A total of 986 women were interviewed The results show ed that the percent of women with self-reported symptom s of RTIs in previous six months was 51.5%.52.3% of the respondents with RTIs had sought health service 10.7% had gynecological exam ination and 14.7% took health lecture in the previous year The prevalence rate of RTI was related to age, husbands education level, the symptom of RTI, and personal hygiene habits (P<0.05).Conclusion Strengthing the knowleage of RTI, and mobilizing the mralwomen and theirfamily to take health education are effective m easures to prevent RTI.
