Abstract
Objective To study antagonisic effect of Vioal diffusa Gings(VDG)on hepatic fibrosis in rats. Methods Forty-eight rats were randomly divided into four groups:normal control group, model control group, normal sodium group and VDG treated group. The contents of alanine aminotransfe rase(ALT),aspartate amino transfe rase(AST)and a lkaline phosphatase(ALP)were measured with full automatic biochemical analyzer.Hepatic micros tructure was showed by HE staining. The expression of collagen alphalⅠ,Ⅲ,α-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)and transforming growth factorβ-1 (TGF-β1)were detected with immunoh is tochemistry dyeing. Results Compared with the model group, the contents of AL T,AST and ALP of VDG treated group remarkably decreased (P < 0.01).In VDG treated group, the hepatic lobe structure was normal and the slender textile fiber gap was minor with fewinflammatory cell infiltration. There was a significant difference in the averagegrey degree of collagen alphal Ⅰ,Ⅲ,α-SMA and TGF-β1 ibetween normal control, model control and VDG treated group (P < 0.01).Conclusion The a lcohol extract from VDG showed protective effect against liver fibrosis and could a lleviate the degree of degeneration and necrosis induced by CCl4.
