Sub-health status and its related factors among civil servants in Tianjin

  • Objective To comprehense the sub-health status and its related factors in civil servants in Tianjin for promoting the official's health.Methods The subjects were obtained with stratified cluster sampling method.A questionnaire was abopted to collcet information on general situation,diseases history,sub-health status,mental health and lifestyle.Results For 3 000 questionnaires issued,2 900 were collected with 2 822 valid questionnaires.Four diseases were highly prevalent among the participants,including fattyliver(17.86%),hypertension(14.64%),cervical and lumbar disease(14.25%),and high blood fats(13.11%).Multi-variable analysis disclosed that age(odds ratioOR=1.015,95% confidence interval CI:1.005-1.026),living area(OR=1.109,95%CI:1.018-1.208),disease history(OR=1.986,95%CI:1.593-2.475),total income(OR=0.871,95%CI:0.777-0.977),having meal in time(OR=1.198,95%CI:1.057-1.357),smoking(OR=1.363,95%CI:1.099-1.690),sleep hours(OR=01893,95%CI:0.814-0.979),and mental health score(OR=1.921,95%CI:1.796-2.054)were related factors of sub2health.Conclusion The civil servants have a high prevalence of sub-health and some chronic diseases and is a focus group for health management.
