Coping style and social support of basic educational teachers under new curriculum reform

  • ObjectiveTo explore social support and coping style and the relationship between them among basic eucational teachers.MethodsSimple coping style questionnaire(SCSQ)and social support rating scale(SSRS)were administered to 725 teachers in basic education.ResultsThe negative coping score of the primary school teachers was the lowest.The positive coping score of kindergarten teachers was the highest.The impersonally support score of high school teachers was the highest.The subjective support score of the primary school teachers was the lowest.There was no significant difference in the degree of utilizalion of the support.The correlation was significant between coping style and utilization of social support.ConclusionThe social support,coping style and the mutual influence among the teachers in different schools are different.We should help teachers to realize subjective support and utilize social support.
