Health attainment status among different populations in Wuhan city

ObjectiveTo understand the health attainment status of urban,rural residents and floating population in Wuhan city,and to provide scientific basis for developing intervention strategy.MethodsOverall 5 600 residents were selected with multi-stage stratified sampling and a face-to-face interview was conducted.ResultsThe mean score of health attainment was 34.4±8.1.The health attainment score of urban redidents was higher than that of rural residents and floating population(F=300.325,P<0.01).The level of health attainment of rural residents and floating population was not significantly different.The three health-attainment-related aspects were higher among urban residents than that of among rural residents and floating population(P<0.01).ConclusionRural residents and floating population are the focus of health education and health attainment skills is the key element of health education.
