Relationship between plasma acylation-stimulating protein and growth and development of fetus

  • ObjectiveTo study the relationship bewteen plasma acylation stimulating prote in(ASP)and growth and development of fetus.MethodsTotally 30.infants older than gestational age(OGA),30.g estational age(GA)infants and 30.infants younger than gestational age(YGA)were enrolled in the study. The relation ships between ASP concentration in cord blood and that of maternal blood and amniotic fluid,ASP in cord blood and placental weight, indexes of fetus development, blood fat, in suline, leptin, and serum adiponectin of the pregnan two man were studied.ResultsThe ASP in cord blood of OGA(40.6±1.38 mg/L)was significantly higher than that of in GA(36.7±1.76 mg/L).The level of ASP in cord blood of GA was significantly higher than that of in YGA(33.8±1.73 mg/L;F=133.341,P<0.001).The blood fat showed no statistical difference among the three groups(F≤3.086,P>0.05).The correlation analysis showed positive cor-relations between ASP in cord blood and body weight, body length, body mass index, waistline, waist to hipratio, trigly ceride in cord blood, insuline, and leptin(r≥0.653,P<0.001).The correlation analysis showed a negative correlation between ASP in cord blood and serum adiponectin(r=-0.785,P<0.001).There was no significant difference in ASP of cord blood and maternal blood or amniotic fluid(r=0.064,1.173,-0.236;P>0.05).There was no significant correlation between cord blood and placental weight(r=-0.236,P>0.05).ConclusionThe ASP of cord blood is related to the adjustment of fetal growth. The ASP level can reflect the status of fetal development.
