Abstract
Objective To explore the quality of life and its influencing factors among patients with diabetic retinopathy for effective intervention measures.Methods Using the quality of life(QOL) instrument for patients with visual lesion,Trait Coping Style Questionnaire (TCSQ),and a self-designed questionnaire,268 patients with diabetic retinopathy were surveyed.The generalized linear regression model was used to study the main factors influencing the QOL of the patients.Results The domain with the highest score in QOL was the symptoms and visual function(31.83±17.754),followed by body function domain(23.15±7.082),mental domain(19.10±10.345) and social activity domain(18.09±9.673).The affecting factors of quality of life were age,degree of education,family per capita monthly income,medical expenses,course of the disease,state of illness,and trait coping style(P < 0.05 for all).Conclusion The quality of life among the patients with diabetic retinopathy is not ideal,especially the mental doma in and the social activity domain.The main affecting factors restate of illness and the trait of coping style.
