Relationship between time management disposition, interpersonal perplexity and mental health in college students

  • ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between time management disposition,interpersonal perplexity and mental health in the students.MethodsTotally 226 college students were tested with Time Manager Scale,Interpersonal Relationsbip Integrated Diagnosis Questionaire,and Symptom Checklist 90.ResultsThe average score of management disposition level in the students was 158.84±18.14;the average score of interpersonal perplexity was 6.18±4.23 and that of mental health was 130.47±34.36.There were negative correlations between time management disposition and mental health in the students(P<0.01).There were positive correlations between interpersonal perplexity and mental health(P<0.01).Stepwise regression analyses showed that interpersonal perplexity and time efficacy could explain 36% of mental health variance in the students(R=0.6,P<0.01).ConclusionTime management disposition and interpersonal perplexity were important influence factors for mental health in college students.The time management disposition is negatively related to interpersonal perplexity and positively related to mental health among the students.
