Anti-fatigue function of millet peptides in mice

  • ObjectiveTo explore anti-fatigue functions of millet peptides in mice.MethodsTotally 120 mice were randomly divided into four groups of control, low, moderate, and high dose and the mice in experimental groups were fed with millet peptides at the dose of 0.2,0.4,and 0.8 g/kg·d for 30 days,respectively.Weight-loaded swimming time of the mice was recorded.Liver glycogen and serum urea nitrogen were determined.ResultsThe results indicated that 0.4,0.8 g/kg·d millet peptides could significantly prolong weight-loaded swimming time by 4.45 and 10.51 min(P<0.01),promote synthesis of liver glycogen(9.83±0.10,10.15±0.21 mg/g),and decrease serum urea nitrogen(P<0.01).ConclusionMillet peptides has significant anti-fatigue function in mice.
