Comprehensive evaluation on service capacity of village clinics in Jiangxi province

ObjectiveTo evaluate the service capacity of village clinics in Jiangxi province. MethodsAll village clinics in 11 cities of Jiangxi province were investigated and their service capacity was evaluated with analytic hierarchy process (AHP),technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS),and rank-sum ratio (RSR) method. ResultsThe weight of service function,health resources,fund,equipments,and houses were 0.509 4,0.234 3,0.131 8,0.084 9,and 0.039 6,respectively.According to the results of TOPSIS,the service capacity of village clinics of Yingtan municipality was the best (C_i value=0.806 7) and the last one was Xinyu city (C_i value= 0.337 7).The top two rank of service capacity for the 11 cities was Yingtan and Ji’an with the R?R of≥0.634,followed by Pingxiang,Yichun,Jingdezhen,Jiujiang,Fuzhou,Nanchang,and Shangrao with R?R value of ≥0.366 and <0.634,and Ganzhou and Xinyu with the RR values of﹤0.366. ConclusionThe overall service capacity of village clinics in 11 cities in Jiangxi was at an acceptable level but needs to be improved further.
