ObjectiveTo evaluate the status of knowledge,attitude and practice about health dietary nutrition among the guardians of left-behind preschool children and to provide evidence for establishing effective health intervention measures.MethodsTotally 646 guardians of preschool children were selected form two counties in Shandong province and surveyed with a self-designed questionnaire.ResultsThe guardians of left-behind preschool children had a significantly lower scores of health dietary nutrition knowledge (64.92±9.92 vs.67.45±11.37) and active attitude towards healthy dietary nutrition(83.05±12.54 vs.87.68±9.84) than the guardians of non-left-behind preschool children(both P<0.05).ConclusionThe guardians of rural preschool left-behind children are lack of health dietary nutrition knowledge and have poor practice in healthy nutrition although they have active attitude towards health dietary nutrition,suggesting we should pay attention to health intervention among the guardians of rural left-behind preschool children.
