Abstract
Arsenic,as a metalloid element,widely exists in nature.The health problem caused by arsenic pollution has become a serious public health problem in the world.Chronic arsenic exposure has a close relationship with the occurrence of some diseases,including tumor,diabetes,cardiovascular disease,and other diseases.Atherosclerosis is the pathological basis of cardiovascular diseases,and lipid metabolism is closely related to the formation of atherosclerotic plaque.But so far,there are a few reports about the effects of arsenic exposure on lipid metabolism,and there is no consistency between the results of the study.In this paper,the effects of arsenic exposure on lipid metabolism and mechanism are reviewed.
