Prevalence and influencing factors of coronary heart disease among urban residents aged over 20 years in Qiqihaer city

Objective To investigate the prevalence and related factors of coronary heart disease (CHD) among residents aged over 20 years in urban Qiqihaer city of Heilongjiang province,and to provide references for the prevention and treatment of CHD.Methods A total of 2 288 residents aged over 20 years were selected in six communities of urban Qiqihaer with random cluster sampling; a questionnaire survey,routine physical examination and laboratory tests were carried out among the residents from January to December 2016.Results Totally 127 CHD patients were identified and the prevalence rate of CHD was 5.55% among the residents.Multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that aged more than 46 years,obesity,smoking,hypertension,hyperglycemia,and family history of CHD were independent risk factors for coronary heart disease.Conclusion The prevalence of CHD is high among urban residents over 20 years old in Qiqihaer and the urban residents who were older,smoker,with obesity or has hypertension,hyperglycemia and family history of CHD are more likely to suffer from CHD.
