Efficiency of standardized hierarchical training for nurses

  • Objective To evaluate the efficiency of standardized hierarchical training for nurses and to provide references for improving professional ability of clinical nurses.Methods We conducted questionnaire surveys among 300 medical care personnel randomly recruited in Hongqi Hospital of Mudanjiang Medical College before and after they received a five-hierarchy standardized professional training between January 2015 and February 2016.The professional knowledge,skill and quality of nursing practice of the participants were evaluated to assess the efficacy of the training program.Results The professional ability of the participants was obviously promoted after the training,with the significantly higher scores for theoretical knowledge (86.10±2.30 vs.84.63±4.57),nursing skills (97.76±2.04 vs.86.10±2.30),holistic nursing (96.47±5.38 vs.85.56±8.09),ward management (95.30±4.52 vs.83.57±6.41),file management (97.61±5.69 vs.85.21±3.18),and getting hold of patients' condition (96.86±4.31 vs.86.20±7.09) compared to those of before the training,respectively (P<0.05 for all).Conclusion Standardized hierarchical training could effectively improve the knowledge,skill,and quality of nursing practice among nurses.
