Analysis on morbidity data of some notifiable communicable diseases with flooding and controlling strategy in Jiangxi province

  •   Objective   To study the possible emerging communicable diseases during and after flooding in Jiangxi province.
      Methods   Morbidity data of some notifiable communicable diseases with flooding from 1950 to 2002 were collected and analyzed in Jiangxi province.
      Results   From 1950 to 2000, the incidence of the most communicable diseases with flooding descended year by year and were controlled at a very low level.
      Conclusion   A lthough the incidence rates of the most infectious diseases with flooding were very low, some diseases, such as digestive tract, anthropod and vector-borne infectious diseases were the main diseases which should be prevented and controlled during and after flooding in Jiangxi.
