Logistic regresssion of risk factors in type 2 diabetes mellitus pedigrees

  Objective   To explore the risk factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus in T₂DM pedigrees.

  Methods   One hundred and fifteen pedigrees of type 2DM were diagnosed with OGTT, PCR-RFLP, GAD and ICA512.Risk factors were analyzed by Logistic regression.

  Results   Hypertension(OR=2.075, 95% CI1.001-4.301), hyperlipidemia(OR=4.471, 95% CI2.149-9.303), high waist hip ratio(OR=1.809, 95% CI1.001-4.301)and age(OR=1.043, 95% CI1.024-1.062), were significant in multiple-regression of risk factors in T₂DM. In new diagnosed T₂DM, hypertension(OR= 6.068, 95%CI1.697-2.1689)was significant.Age(OR=1.398, 95% CI1.138-1.717)was significant in IGT.

  Conclusion   Hypertension, age and visceral obesity were risk factors of T₂DM probably.
