Study on immunocompetence of sermorelin acetate

  •   Objective   To research the adjustment of sermorelin acetate on immunization function of immunization inhibiting model of rats.
Methods   The mouse model of immunosuppression induced by cyclophosphamide, and sermorelin acetate was injected into mice abdominal cavity, antagonistic experiments were observed in vivo, determining thymus gland index, the spleen index, phagocytosis of the phagocytes, proliferation index of T lymphocyte, ear swelling degree, content of IL-2 of serum.
Results   Sermorelin acetate(0.18, 0.36 mg/kg)can clearly increase and odviously strengthen the thymus gland index and the spleen index; and clearly increase the phagocytosis of the phagocytes. Sermorelin acetate can antagonize inhibition of immunological function caused by cyclophosphamide, which can promote T lymphocyte proliferation, delayed-type hypersensitivity induced by dinitrochlorobenzene and production of IL-2 of the rat.
Conclusion   Sermorelin acetate can antagonize immunosuppressive response induced by cyclophosphamide.
