Objective To study the effect of soybean isoflavone on IGF-1 expression of osteoblastic cells.
Methods The osteoblstic cells from cranial bone of new born rat was cultured. The effect of soybean isoflavone on osteoblastic cells proliferation was measured by MTT.The Streptavidin-Peroxidase Histostain TM-Plus Kits was used to detect IGF-1 expression.ICF-1mRNA was detected with situ hybridization. The quantitative analysis was monitored with HP IAS-1000 photograph analysis meter.
Results The IGF-1 and IGF-1 mRNA expression of the third generation osteoblastic cells cultured with soybean isoflavone was positive expression and was higher signifiantly than negative control group(P < 0.05).The plasm of positive cells was brown and yellow expression.
Conclusion The soybean isoflvone may affect the formation of osteoblastic cells through promoting the secretion of IGF-1.
