Effect of Zinc gluconate and Sidium selenite on gap junctional intercellual communication in fibroblast cells treated by silica

  •   Objective   To investigate the effect of Zinc gluconate and Sodium selenite which were used solely and to gether on gapjunctional intercellual communication(GJIC)in fibroblast cells clited by silica.
Methods   Fibroblast cells were cultured with silica, at the same time Zinc gluconate and sodium selenite which were used solely and together were added respectively.GJIC were measured through scrape loading and dye transfer.
Results   Zinc gluconate, so dium selenite and Zinc gluconate together with sodium selenite have the effects to lighten the level of GJIC in fibroblast colls inhibited by silica. The most suitable combiation of the two compound should be middle dosage of Zinc gluconate(1.5 mg/L)with high dosage of sodium selenite(2.0 μmol/L).
Conclusion   Zinc g luconate and sodium selenite which were used solely and together could reduce the inhibition of GJIC in fibroblast cells exposed by silica.
