Protective Effects of GInsenosindes and vitamin C on Damage of Blood-brain Barrier in Rats by Low Level Lead Using Xray Enengy-dispersive Spectroscopy Microanalysis

  • Using La-tracing and X-ray energy-dispersive spectros copy(EDX) microanalys is, this study was designed to investigate the inhibiting effect of ginsenosides(GS) and vitamin C on lead seeping to substance of brain at the bound between blood and brain. The results showed that only GS coudn′t resist the lead to seep to the substance of brain, so no inhibiting effect on the neurot oxicity of lead was observed, but ginsenos ides mixed with vitamin C had a certain inhibiting effect on lead to seep to substance of brain. It is suggested that GS and vitamin C in mixture could have the protective effects on neurot oxicity of low level lead.
