Difference of Occupational Stress Between Workers and Managers

  • To explore the difference of occupational stress between workers and managers, the occupational stressors, type A behavior, coping strategies, locus of contrl. job satisfactio, mental heahth and physical health were investigated,using OSI(Occuptional stress indictor) It is found that the scores of occupational stressors are higher than managers, but no significantly, the scores of organization contol, job statregies and logic are remarkable significantly higher than the workers, female managers experienced more stress than wrkers. The main predicting factors of the stepw is eregression analysis are organizational structure and atmosphere,factors instrinict job ytself and management proceses for the male managers organizational structure and atmosphere and management proceses for male workers, Beharior type for female managers management role and proceses for female wodkers. The results revealed there are difference for occupationals tress among managers and workers, the main predicting factors of the stepw is eregress ion analys is varied for mental health, physical health and job satis faction between managers and worders, also do between sex groups, conducting the comprision of occupational stress bitween grops, the confounding factors(sex)xhound be contorlled.
