Effect of Chrysotile and Cigarette Smoke Solution on Activity of Aryl Hydrocarbon Hydroxylase Separately or Simulhaneously in Human Embryo Lung Cells

  • In order to investigate the combind effect of chrysotile and cigarette smoking on carcinogenesis, activity of aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase(AHH) induced by chrysotile and cigarette smoke solution separately or simultaneously were studied in Human Embryo Lung(HEL) cell lines invitro. The results showed that chrysotile could include the increase of AHH activity in HEL cells and adductive effect could be seen were exposed to chrysotile and cigarette smoking solufion simultaneously, suggesting that chrysotile may exert its cocaminogenic effects by enhancing AHH activity in cells exposed to dgarette smoke, and make it easier for cells to transform PAH to ultimate carcinogens.
