Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between life events and aggressive behavior in college students.Methods Aggressive Scale,Adolescent Self-Rating Life Events Scale( ASLEC) were administered to 5 236 college students selected with stratified cluster sampling from 6 universities and colleges in Harbin city. Results The prevalence of interpersonal relationship and the study stress was 87. 89% and 93. 43%,respectively,in the students. Male students had higher scores for physical aggression,verbal aggression,self-oriented attack,and total attack than female students( P <0. 05 for all); the female students had a higher scores for angry attack than the male students( P <0. 05); physical aggression,verbal aggression,anger,hostility,and self-oriented attack were positively associated with life events. Conclusion College students experiencing more life events have more aggressive behavior.
