Abstract: Objective To understand the health skill level and its influencing factors in community residents,and to provide evidence for health education.Methods Using smiple random sampling,12 300 residents aged above 15 years in 30 healthy communities of Shenzhen city were investigated.Results The total know ledge rate of health skill was 62.5%.The rate of calling emergency medical phone correctly was 94.8% and higher than the rate of understanding OTC sign (31.3%)and using sphyg momanometer(36.8%).The mastering rates of health skill among the community residents aged under 30,30-50,and above 50 years were 61.1%,63.0%,and 65.1%,respectively(P<0.05).The mastering rates of health skill among the community residents with primary school education level and be low,secondary school education level,and university education level and above were 50.6%,62.0%,and 69.5%,respectively(P<0.05).Based on logistic regression,education,career,scores of health knowledge,gender,and age were significant factors affecting the level of health skill(P<0.05).Conclusion The level of health skill is affected by education,career,level of health knowledge,gender,and age among the community residents in Shenzhen city.
