Abstract:
ObjectiveTo understand the behavior of snuffsmoking among Tibetan people and some related factors,and to probe into some ways to control this behavior.
MethodsOne thousand and two hundred tibetans aged 15-70 years from diseases surveillance points in Tibet Autonomous Region were randomly selected in the survey and 1084 qualified questionnaires in total were received.
ResultsThe snuff-smoking rate reached 26.57%.
ConclusionThe results showed the present status of epidemical diseases among farmers and herdsmen in Tibet.It offered us some basic data and background information to control snuff smoking behavior.
