Abstract: Objective To discuss the effect of quality of life on development of type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)related complications.Methods A specific diabetes mellitus inventory was carried out.These 300 type 2 DM patients were selected,including 105 patients with complications.Data were analyzed by univariate and multivariatelogistic regression.Results Age,course of disease,life event and worse quality of life(lower level of satisfaction and higher level of influence)were risk factors of complications of type 2 DM,whose odds ratios are 1.058,1.019,1.375,1.056 and 1.077 respectively.Whereas,higher income and eating more fruits were its protective factors,whose odds ratios are 0.441 and 0.304 respectively.Conclusion To prevent complications development of type 2 DM,measures needed to be taken such as eating more fruits,improving quality of life and ability to mental adjustment.
