Abstract: Objective To explore the situation of medicine usage and blood pressure(BP) control of hypertension patients in rural areas.Methods Questionnaire was conducted.Results The rate of agents usage was 71.3% in first visit cases,only 6.64% patients persist in using agents for long term.The rate of stopping using medicine was 83.96% half a year later.The complex agents and calcium antagonist were chiefly used,the total was 55.6% in single drug usage,the combination drugs was 44.34%.The calcium antagonist was 22.64%.The effective getting rate of controlling blood pressure was 59.43%,only 27.36% was well preserved at survey time.Conclusion The rate of getting the target BP and of abiding medicine usage in rural areas were evidently lower than that in city.
