Abstract:
Objective To study the effects of long-term manganese fumes exposure on changing content of immune function and microelements in workers.
Methods Immunodiffusion method and atomic absorption spectrophotometer method were used to examine the content of the serum immunog lobulin(IgA, IgG, IgM)and microelements(Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn)in blood and manganese in the urine of 116 people with manganese fumes exposure.
Results The content of serum IgG, IgM on the manganese-contact group was lower than that of the control group. The IgM and IgG had a highly netgative relation with the blood manganese content(P < 0.05).When the blood manganese concentration was 0.05 μmol/L, the blood zinc and cuprum was lower(P < 0.05).
Conclusion Mang anese has a restrictive effect on the microelements(Zn, Cu)and immunity function in manganese exposure workers.
