Abstract:
Objective To understand the status of accepting attitude to people living with HIV among health care providers.
Methods 753 providers were interviewed by questionaire in two comprehensive hospitals at city-level and four to wnship health centers.
Results Most of the providers partially accepted the people living with HIV.The provider's attitude to people with HIV was associated with their age,professional knowledge to HI V/A IDS,the level of health facilities,as well as the frequency to contact with people with HIV/AI DS.
Conclusion To reduce HIV related stigma and discrimination among health care settings.It is necessary to improve the professional know ledge and skill of HIV/AI DS treatment and prevention,as well as reducing occupational exposure.The health pro viders at young age or working for comprehensive hospital at high level are suggested to be major educated population.Meanwhile,it is required to provide physiological support for health providers who frequently contact with people with HIV so as to maintain their positive accepting attitude.
