Abstract: Objective To understand the knowledge,attitude and behavior aout AIDS of the peasants in Hebei province.That provided scientific basis for the fo rmulation of the health education.Methods From July to November of 2006 a sampled questionnaire survey was made to the peasants from five districts in Hebei.Results There were 1 764 peasants of twenty villages being investigated.Effective response rates to the three spread routes about AIDS were between 72.62%~87.53%,and about the none was between 71.77%~95.86%.The effective response rates between five districts were very different.The attitude to the AIDS cases indicated that there were 62.59% people wanted to connect with the patients,and 81.58% people wanted to give help.The source of receiving know ledge about AIDS mainly came from TV,radio and information.It was about 74.03% of all.Conclusion The effective response rates of peasants in foundation item districts achieved the national standard.This mainly related to the item work and control,but the tasks of other districts were still very huge.
