Abstract: Objective To study the quality of life of the elderly and its influencing factors in urban area of Yinchuan.Methods Through stratified-cluster sampling,the quality of life and its in fluencing factors were investigated with World Health Organization Quality of Life(WHOQOL-BREF) among 1370 aged people in four communities of Yinchuan.Results The aged people's scores of physical domain,psychological domain,social relation,environment,and quality of life were 85.85±11.24,23.00±3.89,20.39±3.37,9.69±1.87,and 25.99±4.00.There were six factors,including age (β=0.213,P < 0.01),marriage(β=1.309,P < 0.01),sex (β=0.668,P < 0.01),monthly income (β=1.315,P < 0.01),chronic diseases(β=2.895,P < 0.01),and vocational history (β=0.127,P < 0.01) in the equation of multiple linear regression analysis.Conclusion Age,marriage,sex,monthly income,chronic diseases,and vocational history are major factors influencing the quality of life of aged people in Yinchuan.
