Abstract:
Objective To study self-rated health condition and its influencing factors among university students in Guiyang city.
Methods With stratified sampling,a survey was conducted among 2 126 university students with Self-Rated Health Measurement Scale Version 1.0(SRHMS V1.0) and a self-developed questionnaire.Multiple linear regression was performed to analyze related factors of self-rated health condition.
Results The average score of SRHMS was 73.37±9.50.The score for physical health dimension was the highest(80.52±9.41) and the lowest for mental health dimesion(65.23±14.05).There was no significant difference between the male and the female in the SRHMS score,but significant differences were found for the scores of physical health and mental health(
P<0.05).Factors influencing the self-rated health condition in the students included worry about self-health constantly(
β'=0.205),not paying attention to self-health(
β'=0.167),not getting along with family members(
β'=0.130),without regularl physical excercise(
β'=0.127),having bad relationship with classmates(
β'=0.102),strain relation between father and mother(
β'=0.099),having a difficult economic condition in the family(
β'=0.092),having rocky relationship with teacher(
β'=0.091),study stress (
β'=0.061),and debt burden(
β'=0.044).
Conclusion The health condition is not good in university students of Guiyang city and comprehensive measures for its influencing factors should be taken to improve their health.
